It started with fifteen years of doing it wrong.

I don't leave the house without jewelry on, and for about fifteen years that meant buying it again and again. Green fingers. That metallic tarnish smell, pieces that went dull and were quietly abandoned in a drawer.

I was on a young adult's budget, so I assumed the choice was simple — buy real gold, or keep replacing. It took me far too long to work out that there was a third answer.

It's what's underneath.

A lot of gold jewelry is made by plating a thin layer of gold over a base metal such as brass or alloy. Over time, that outer layer can wear down, exposing the metal underneath to your skin, sweat, water, and everyday life. That’s when discoloration, tarnishing, and those green marks can start to show. 

What I eventually learned was that the material underneath the gold matters just as much as what you see on the surface. 

And I wish someone had explained that to me sooner. 

So we started with better foundations.

Gold-filled — a thick layer of solid 14k gold permanently bonded to a core metal using heat and pressure. It contains significantly more gold than traditional gold plating, giving you a finish made for everyday wear. 

Gold over stainless steel — real gold plated onto high-quality stainless steel, with plating thickness measured in microns. Stainless steel offers a durable, corrosion-resistant foundation while allowing us to keep our pieces accessible.
